A Hustings and Ballot to select the Conservative Party Candidate for the Gainsborough Rural South division will take place on Wednesday, 23rd November 2016 at Upton-cum-Kexby Village Hall.

The choice of who shall be the Conservative Party Candidate for the Gainsborough Rural South Division is in the hands of local party members.

Regular scheduled elections for Lincolnshire County Council will take place on Thursday, 4th May 2017. The Executive Council began the process for selecting candidates last September. The Association has contacted individuals on the Approved Candidates list and made an appeal for new candidates to come forward in Activist, our member newsletter, and online using social media and email. Short-listing has taken place via the Association’s Selection Panel, considering the names that had put themselves forward for selection.

The Hustings will commence with registration and coffee from 5:30pm. Please bring your membership card if you have one or other ID (driving license, passport). There will be one hour of Q&A proceeded by statements by the candidates. Once this has finished, voting will commence, not later than 7:00pm, for half an hour. The ballots will then be counted and result declared.
