Lincolnshire is a large, rural county with the fourth largest road network in the country.
Conservatives are committed to making sure our road network is up to scratch and have secured £6.5 million of additional funding from the government
Potholes, caused by wet and cold weather conditions, are a problem county-wide. In the past potholes have been patched over, but this is only a temporary fix. The extra cash has bought four new pieces of equipment called ‘hot boxes’ which allow hot asphalt to get to the roadside. This means future repairs will be permanent, fixing potholes for longer lasting surfaces.
The roads most urgently in need of mending will be seen to first. As the repairs will be permanent, the highways teams will no longer have to go back to the same pothole over and over.
This is an example of how Conservative-led Lincolnshire County Council is delivering real value for money.
Lincolnshire’s Conservatives are confident that you will see a noticeable improvement in the quality of our road surfaces over the coming months.
We need your help, if you spot a pothole or other related highways problem, please call the council’s hotline on 01522 782070.
