Gainsborough Conservatives marked the 50th Anniversary of Margaret Thatcher becoming Leader of the Party on 11th February 1975 with a Fish & Chips Lunch on 8th February. Not only did they enjoy a superb meal but they were also able to share memories and thoughts about Mrs Thatcher. Gainsborough MP, Rt. Hon Sir Edward Leigh shared some anecdotes from his time of working with her, and the events leading up to that memorable occasion were read out from the book, Upwardly Mobile, an autobiography of the Rt. Hon Norman Tebbit.
