Dozen, upon dozen of local Conservative members and supporters have enjoyed a sumptious Christmas Dinner with plenty of festive feeling and merry making to round off another successful year at the Gainsborough Constituency Conservative Association's annual Christmas Supper Club event.
Once again Conservatives were pleased to return to the Hickman Hill Hotel, Cox's Hill, Gainsborough, which hosted the event. Guests enjoyed a festive menu of smoked salmon timbale followed by traditional roast turkey with cipolata bacon roles, stuffing served with seasonal vegetables and both roast and new potatoes. Dessert was a choice of Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce or an excellent cheese platter, showcasing some excellent Lincolnshire cheeses. To follow was Tea or Coffee with homemade mince pies.
Mrs. Stephanie Rouse, the Association's Chairman, highlighted numerous successes of the year, including being finalists in the party's National Excellence Awards and the May 2013 local election results, before introducing Sir Edward Leigh who made an address to those assembled and took questions from the floor.
Mr. Richard Butroid, the Association's Deputy Chairman (Membership & Fundraising), provided a vote of thanks.
