Today the local Conservative Association has made paying for events, membership or making a donation that much easier through the introduction of SafePay.
SafePay is an online payment system to be used in conjunction with our website provided by BlueTree, the official website service of the Conservative Party. SafePay operates in a similar way to other online payment portals, such as PayPal. The new service allows people to make donations, buy tickets or make a membership subscription payment online and pay by debit or credit card. Association Secretary, Giles McNeill, said:
"As the use of cheques continues to decline the Association is ensuring that we move with the times. The Executive Council, ath their meeting a few weeks ago, authorised the adoption of SafePay. I am sure that there will be a number of people who will find the new service of use.
"Anyone familiar with PayPal or other online systems shouldn't have any difficulty in using the SafePay service on our website. There is a small charge added of 2% to cover transaction fees but with a stamp now costing 62p hopefully people will not be put off a 51p charge for a £20 supper club ticket."
If you are reading this article on our website you should see a Donate box on the righthand side of the page - why not give SafePay a go and make a small donation to the Gainsborough Constituency Conservative Association?
