Forty new properties, 10 of which will be affordable homes, are currently under construction in the picturesque village of Nettleham.
West Lindsey is open for business and is pleased to welcome developers Homes by Stirlin to the district, who are delivering their first site at Lodge Lane in the village.
James Kirby, Managing Director at Homes by Stirlin is excited to announce that the first phase of the site is due for completion. He said:
“Lodge Lane is our first major residential development in West Lindsey, and the completion of phase 1 will finally allow us to showcase a ‘Homes by Stirlin’ home. We have developed a formidable reputation for our attention to detail, so we’re delighted we are able to deliver quality homes for local people.
“We chose to develop in Nettleham as the village offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities and is ideally located close to Lincoln city centre. Young professionals can reach the city in under 10 minutes, families benefit from local infant, primary and secondary schools and older residents benefit from the village shops and services.”
The new homes were welcomed by West Lindsey district councillor Giles McNeill, who represents the Nettleham ward, he said:
“It is great to have a full quarter of this development dedicated to providing affordable homes. Everyone should be able to aspire to work hard and one day own their own home. Affordable homes are a great first step for many onto the housing ladder; and for those who qualify policies like Help to Buy can assist in building a property owing democracy.”
Stirlin have worked closely with West Lindsey Building Control for the Lodge Lane development. James added:
“We have a great relationship with West Lindsey building control. We have our own design division, Stirlin Design, who are able to take advice from the building control officers on various technical aspects of a development ensuring all statutory requirements are met.”
Of the 40 homes at the Nettleham development, 10 of these will be affordable homes, with six, 2 and 3 bedroom homes available for affordable rent and four, 3 bedroom homes for shared ownership. These homes will be owned and managed by Ongo.
