Local Conservatives are really pleased to be offering the residents of the Nettleham and Saxilby area the only local candidates in two by-elections taking place on Thursday, 6th September 2012.
Stephanie Rouse, Chairman of the Gainsborough Constituency Conservative Association, was delighted to announce the Conservative Party’s two candidates, for the Nettleham and Saxilby Division of Lincolnshire County Council and the Nettleham Ward of West Lindsey District Council. Both are local community activists. Speaking she said:
“I am very pleased that we have two outstanding, local candidates for these by-elections. Jackie Brockway, who is already a District Councillor for Saxilby, will contest the Nettleham and Saxilby Division. Meanwhile Giles McNeill, who is a Nettleham Parish Councillor, will contest the Nettleham Ward. Both candidates are dedicated, hard-working and the only local choice. All the other candidates standing are from outside the area.”
Both candidates have gone through a thorough selection process by the local Conservative Association and have competed against their peers to secure the Party’s nomination.
Leader of West Lindsey District Council, Burt Keimach said:
“I have worked closely with Jackie and know her to be first-rate choice as the Nettleham and Saxilby Division’s next County Councillor. Giles will make a fine addition to West Lindsey District Council, his passion for the people of the Nettleham Ward is second to none. Local people could have no finer champions, fighting for their needs, at the Guildhall or the County Hall than to have Giles and Jackie. I hope residents will give them their opportunity to serve.”
“I am unimpressed that other parties are fielding candidates from outside the Nettleham and Saxilby area. Local people want the representatives on local councils to live and work in their communities – not live forty miles away.
